Hippolite, who changed his profile name to emulate the famous bank robber from the '50s, was caught after cops got a partial license plate of his car from a robbery victim and were able to trace it to a friend of the would-be master criminal.

Checking the friend's Facebook page lead the cops to Hippolite when they spotted several incriminating photos of the robber flaunting thousands of dollars in cash and popping the cork on expensive bottles of champagne.
He'd also posted several updates before and after robberies which incriminated him, among them "I Gotta Get That $$$$$ Man!!!" and "Crime Pays My Bills!"
This guy would have to go a long way to truly be like his apparent hero Willie Sutton who stole more than $2 million in stolen loot during his short career. Hippolite's net was a mere 32 thousand dollars. So, in the end the lesson is the same in either case: crime doesn't pay.
Good thing Facebook is free!
