San Francisco Chronicle reporters Matier and Ross learned today that "Botox moms isn't who she says she is." The mother doesn't live in San Francisco and her real name isn't Kerry Campbell. San Francisco Human Services is no longer involved in the case.
A San Francisco mother who injected her 8-year-old daughter with Botox for beauty pageants has lost custody of her child.
Last Thursday, Kerry Campbell admitted to giving her daughter Botox injections on "Good Morning America." Kerry's daughter Britney said the procedure hurts but she's glad her mom gives her the injections to prevent wrinkles.
The TV appearance spurred hundreds of people to phone San Francisco's child abuse hotline and, according to ABC News, San Francisco's Human Services Agency has removed Britney from her mother's home and taken her into custody while the agency investigates the situation.
Kerry is a beautician originally from Birmingham, England, and recently moved to San Francisco. She gives her daughter injections to help her be more competitive in child beauty pageants. Kerry says that many moms whose daughters compete in pageants give their children Botox.
