Isobel Jones-Reilly, 15, died after going into cardiac arrest at 61-year-old Mr Dodgeon's west London home in April during an unsupervised party held by his 14 year old daughter.
Today Dodgeon, a research fellow at the University of London's Institute, appeared in court to admit four counts of possession, including quantities of the party drugs ecstasy, LSD, 5-MeO-DIPT (also known as 'Foxy Methoxy') and the horse tranquilliser ketamine.
A charge of possessing 14 diazepam tablets was dropped.
Outlining the case at West London Magistrates Court today, Nisha Dutt, prosecuting, said the "unsupervised party" on 22 April ended in the death of Ms Reilly, who was known to drink and smoke cannabis.
Her school had even referred her to drug education group "Visions" it was said.
Dodgeon's 14-year-old daughter, Beatrice Hadjipateras, and two 14-year-old boys were also admitted to hospital after the party.
The teenagers found the drugs in Dodgeon's bedroom, which they had been "forbidden" from entering.
Ms Reilly had taken two tablets, and around 4am in the morning collapsed on the bed "frothing at the mouth, went motionless and stopped breathings".

The lecturer, whose research subjects have included health inequalities and alcohol consumption patterns, attempted suicide following the youngster death.
Rhona Freedman, defending, said he "pitched himself" off a road bridge, breaking both his legs, elbow and fracturing his skull in "the most dramatic expression of remorse".
He needed brain surgery following the attempt and spend months in hospital.
Isobel lived in South Acton, with her father, Patrick Reilly. On the day of her death, the teenager was at the Victorian terrace home as a guest of Mr Dodgeon's daughter, while her parents were at a party in Hastings.
The youngsters spent the evening drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis, before going up to Dodgeon's room and discovering the stash on top of a cupboard.
Dodgeon, who appeared in court walking with the aid of crutches, has admitted being a "recreational" drug user.
The drugs have been valued at between £735 and £2,435.
The Ladbroke Grove street where Mr Dodgeon lives is home to Education Secretary Michael Gove. David Cameron owns a house two streets away.
At the time, Isobel's parents Lynne Jones and Patrick Reilly, spoke of their heartache at their loss.
In a statement they said: 'Isobel's family and friends are devastated and heartbroken by her untimely death. We hope that if anything positive comes from this dreadful event, it is that others will make the right decisions to be safe and well in the future.'
